Meanwhile a fresh 9 news article on Jetstars issues today quotes them as saying all aircraft will be back by the end of the week.

Mark, VKI did not operate on 28/9/22 but flew JQ57/58 BNE-DPS-BNE yesterday 29/9/22, so has returned to service.
VKB is due to return to service today operating JQ43 MEL to DPS departing at 9:10. This B788 has not flown since it arrived in MEL on 31/8/22. VKL has filed to ferry from SYD to MEL this morning as JQ7991 at 10:00. This is the last of the Jetstar unserviceable B788s with VKB returning to service. Will it be written off in MEL following its lightening strike damage? |

Quote:
VKH operated a ferry from CNS to BNE yesterday then operated Wednesdays delayed JQ57 as JQ1057 to DPS , it’s about 5km from me at present in DPS so presumably same cabin and tech crew operating a return service today after a break. Interestingly todays JQ57 has an 8 hour delay, no doubt waiting for VKH to get back, which makes todays JQ44 now an overnight flight. The normal overnight breaks should absorb the delays. |

I wonder how they fixed those terrible melted segments - relayed the carbon fibre layer by layer or replaced panels completely, probably replaced them if possible.
