The structure of the test aircraft is somewhat different to the production aircraft, so the cost to bring them up to the production equivalent would be prohibitive (and no airline would probably want one given the type of testing they do). The other option mentioned was a museum, which I guess could be a possibility.
I did offer to take it off their hands but would need to find a suitable hanger at Bankstown.

Your photos are awesome, as you were so lucky to inspect 787 aircaraft last Monday, as I wish to join you for that tour. One of your photos show main undercarrige with 4 huge tyres with huge brake systems. I send you my private email to you in little while ago.
