Reception of the Singapore A380s is a little inconsistent on my ACARS system, they appear some days and not others. Today was fine.
9V-SKC SQ0221 20/09/2008 05:40 Singapore Airlines A380-841 Singapore-Sydney Not sure if this is simply related to reception, which is a little odd, as I have a fairly good coverage out to 250-300km from Sydney, or just how Singapore use ACARS operationally on the A380. Today they only transmitted one simple ACARS message that I received, on other aircraft there is usually quite a number of messages. Maybe they are using another system for reporting aircraft performance etc. ACARS mode: C Aircraft reg: .9V-SKC Message label: 5V Block id: 5 Msg. no: S20A Flight id: SQ0221 -------------------------------------[20/09/2008 05:40]

Good to hear SQ is going to 2x 380 on SIN-LHR.
Will SQ put another A380 on another SIN-SYD sometime soon? And when will 9V-SKG & 9V-SKH delivered? Looking forward for them on SQ1/2 |

9V-SKC went tech in NRT, hence she didnt operate the SYD flight thereafter. |
