Andrew, this was probably the aircraft arriving in NTL, they have just used a Flight Number that has been used before for Sydney-Cairns.

Just flew on the brand-spankin' -VWW tonight; MEL-OOL-MEL (448/449).
![]() It was very pleasant to fly an A321 with the new interior like the recent A320s, the cabin looked even longer with the sleek lines. The rear galley area with the 3-lav combination provides MUCH more room down there for crew and pax movements. The mid-cabin exits also seem to have more room around them but I think that's just the lighter white, airy and clean feel of the wall panels and new seating. For those requesting exit row seats on the new models; the actual exit row seats at Doors 2, 11BC and DE still have the increased leg room but now have slightly decreased seat width, of which a couple of pax were only too happy to point out to me. 11A and F do not exist - the new 'best' seats at Doors 2 are 12A and F with no seat in front of you for a good 2 metres and you get the usual seat width. Doors 3 exit row (25) is still the usual 6 across. Very smooth bird overall, lovely to fly on. ![]() |
