Excuse my ignorance, but is that a possibility? Can a person/persons found guilty of such behaviour be held accountable for costs/fees associated with the forced landing of a commercial aircraft? Just out of curiosity does anyone know what the cost would be?

If it wasn't for his stupid actions, the diversion would not have taken place. That's where the accountability is.

What a disgrace. People like this should receive a 10 year ban from flying on any aircraft.
