VUN went over the Christchurch the other day, that could be another candidate with that horrible 'Airline of Virgin Blue' livery...

Hi...

I take it the ZK-PB* registered 737-800's will be repainted as priority, and revert back to their previous Australian registraton at the same time?

The sooner the better..............

Regards,

Steve S

Hi...

VH-VUN is back in service.

Was it repainted into Virgin Australia livery??

I personally doubt it though as it was not in Christchurch for long.

Regards,

Steve S

When are some of the 737-700's going to be repainted? I flew on VBP to Sydney the other day and it is looking a bit worse for wear, both inside and out. Not to mention it was very uncomfortable too. I flew on a Dash 8 300 series a couple of days after and I found that a million times more comfortable than the -700...

Also funny to note how loud the gear and flap noise is when sitting right over them on the 700's, the odd grind and thud of the gear coming down didn't make a few nervous flyers around me look happy...

Hi Jake. Others on here have been saying for a while early-December for VBY. As for the noises, I'm not a nervous flyer by any stretch of the imagination but I'd much rather hear the thud of the gear extending than not. V's -700s are no longer factory fresh & these things happen. I was on VH-VXG twice yesterday & it's no different.

Apart from VH-VBY & VH-VBZ, I doubt we will see any other -700 repainted as they are slowly being fazed out of the fleet. VBY & VBZ are staying apparently.

Yes they are good noises in fact, some people don't appreciate them though. I wonder if these two will ever get a refit inside, looking a bit dated..

Speaking of looking dated.... i flew a few times in the last week. I got YIB which was fantastic with the new BSI, then VUW which was a fusion of old livery with the awesome new seats, then VOD which had old seats and fading livery, an obvious dissappointment after YIB!!!

On another note, the live-to-air was completely free baa the movies which was nice. I guess they aren't bothering with it as they phase it out.

Any word on new IFE or anything yet??
