Default John Holland Scores Boeing Maintenance Deal

From Australian Aviation...

Quote:
Melbourne based John Holland Aviation Services has been selected to provide Boeing GoldCare maintenance for the Asia-Pacific region.

Under the deal, John Holland will provide line, base and heavy maintenance as part of fleet management services for Boeing’s Next Generation 737 and 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

Victorian Minister for the Aviation Industry Gordon Rich-Phillips hailed the decision as further proof that the state has established itself as an international leader in aviation. He said the deal could lead to new jobs in an industry that already contributes more than $600 million annually to the state’s economy and directly employs about 22,000 people, he said.

Boeing’s operations in Australia is its largest outside of the US.

The announcement came as 787 ZA001 visited Melbourne during its short Australian visit.
Will they have to build new hangars to accommodate the 787?
