They used to be in the past as well.
I remember their -200 which was operating (I think) on behalf of Qantas.

Haha yes! Apparently this will be a scheduled flight twice every week for 2 months from now.

Interestingly, SA2984 did not fly via the far southern route but crossed the WA coast around Perth and still made the flight in 11 hours and 10 minutes. Speeds above 1,100 kph for a lot of the time data was recorded for the flight.
