Good news for Cairns and start at 3 per week
China Eastern Airlines is planning to launch scheduled service on Shanghai Pu Dong – Cairns route, starting 30OCT12. As per GDS timetable and inventory display, service to be operated 3 times a week with Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

China Eastern applies to launch Beijing-Nanjing-Sydney from Oct 2012, 3 times a week with A330-300.

China’s CAAC has issued a statement regarding new route applications to Australia, by China Eastern and Hainan Airlines. Details:
China Eastern MU has applied 3 weekly A330-300 service on Beijing – Nanjing – Sydney, as early as October 2012 Hainan Airlines HU has applied 4 weekly A330 service on Beijing – Chongqing – Sydney, as early as July 2013 |

Is the Hainan service a different one to the one that is supposed to start in November from Shenzhen i believe, if my memory serves correctly?

If you referring to the one In this thread...http://www.yssyforum.net/board/showt...inan#post74867 then it appears it is a different routing to the one they have now applied for. I am not if reservations for the flights are open in the link I have have provided. Which means I am not sure if these flights are happening. |

Ok, worst case scenario we will get 3 or 4 services per week, but hopefully 7 per week if both routings go ahead. Thanks guys.
