Default Mystery White aircraft BNE 5th October???

I was driving south down Gympie Rd at Carseldine in Brisbane this afternoon when I caught a brief glimpse of what I thought was a large shiny white aircraft disappearing behind the treeline to the southeast. This lines up almost exactly with the finals for aircraft landing on the main BNE runway from the south probably about 1 minute from touchdown).

I didn't record the exact time, but I believe it was sometime between 1555 and 1612, most likely between about 1600 and 1606.

Using webtraks I can see only three arrivals - DJ333 (737-700); QF624 (737-800) and DJ467 (737-800).

Using webtracks I was expecting to find a white or silver-liveried 747 or A346 etc. I only saw it for a second before disappearing behind the treeline but it was the gleaming/shine/brilliant white that sparked my attention.

Perhaps QF624 was operated by something larger? Maybe one of the DJ flights was operated by a chartered aircraft???

Can anyone help??

That's an option Sarah. But not showing on Webtracks. Do the troop flights not show for security reasons? Or was it chartered to DJ or QF yesterday?

I think Strategic have had an A320 operating for DJ in the past couple of weeks. I am not at home so can't check logs to confirm, but maybe someone else can confirm details.

Thanks Mark. I am just a bit puzzled as I can normally spot an exact type very quickly and have been able to do so since I was about 6! Yesterday I noticed this large bright "light" top my left but before I could properly focus (I was driving) it sank behind the tree-line.

I figured as the point behind the tree line it sank matches where aircraft "dissappear" just before landing on that flight path that it was possibly even a QF A380 being hit by the afternoon sun....but alas none of the flights landing around that time on that approach were larger than a 737 and two out of the three were red according to Webtraks!

Very frustrating!

DJ333 was likely to have been VH-VBU.
DJ467 was VH-VUE, and QF624 was VH-VXT.
