VIRGIN BLUE TO SCREEN ‘THE CUP’ RACE FREE ON LIVE2AIR

Monday 2 November 2009: Virgin Blue Guests will receive an extra special bonus tomorrow when the airline screens the ‘race that stops a nation’ free of charge on its revolutionary live2air in-flight TV system.
Virgin Blue is the only airline in Australia with the capability to screen the race tomorrow afternoon in the air and everyone on board any Virgin Blue aircraft equipped with the live2air system will be able to enjoy the colour and excitement of the running of the Melbourne Cup on the SKY Racing Channel from their personal seat back television screen.

Don McKillop, Manager, Service Logistics Virgin Blue Airlines Group, said, “The world doesn’t stop while you’re flying and with live2air you can even watch your horse gallop to victory at 40,000 feet.”
Launched in August 2006, Virgin Blue’s live2air was the first LIVE in-flight entertainment system in Australian aviation history, offering 24 pay-per-view real-time FOXTEL and AUSTAR channels, including live news and sports channels and recent release movies.
