Default Unidentified Aircraft Over Newcastle

Yesturday while driving close to Newcastle Uni, I saw what I thought at first was an Antanov but after having a few glimps's at it I think it was a C-17. It was heading south at about 15,000-20,000ft.

Can anyone confirm it was a C-17, maybe decending into Richmond?

Yes, there was a C-17 sitting at YSRI, I assume it came from up North, since they base in Amberley.
