Default V Aus to DJ Transfers

My son will be returning from Canada via LAX on V Australia in a few months time and I was wondering if anyone in the know could help with a few things.
He is probably going to travel to Sydney via Brisbane so the internal leg is on Virgin Blue. Now for the questions:
1) Does he need to collect baggage in Brisvegas and rebook it at the domestic desk himself or is this taken care of by the airline?
2) As he'll have 1 large bag and a snowboard bag are the same baggage allowances allowed on VAus and DJ?
3) Is he likely to have to pay any extra on the domestic leg for the baggage?
4) Does Virgin have a free transfer from the International to Domestic terminals in Brissie as he'll be booking with the one ticket?

Any help would be appreciated.

All the answers can be found here:

If the flights are all on the same ticket, baggage allowances will be honoured on the Virgin Blue flight.
