Coincidence? or something more?

Damn and to think, few years ago Qantas had an impeccable safety record,
now its issue after issue.

I dont like where this might lead to...

Default Qantas 747 lands in Singapore after engine problem

Quote:

SINGAPORE (Reuters) – A Qantas aircraft made an emergency landing in Singapore on Friday after experiencing engine problems, an airport official and state TV said, the second such incident involving the Australian flag carrier in as many days.

The Sydney-bound Qantas Boeing 747-400, with 412 passengers on board, had been in the air for around 20 minutes when it "sought priority clearance to return to Singapore," Channel NewsAsia reported

Errrr, not quite Sarah....

Maybe worldwide, but certainly not in the Qantas fleet, or even in the Australian airline fleet.

While I applaud your dedication to Qantas, they're not perfect.

Just read this article about QF6 as well...

Why they decide to continue and focus on the A380 towards the end of the article I have no idea though - and they even basically compare the A380 to the B787?! WTF?!

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/811...engine-trouble

Certainly not a good week for Qantas though and I had to put up with a guest staying at our place dissing the A380 last night because of all the faults he's heard they've been having. I tried to reason it was the engine manufacturer but he's one of those with strong opinions based on little fact in subject matters he knows little about so it was a pointless battle *sigh*

If a flight is diverted to an engine failure you normally hear about it , but Qantas seems to be having its fair share lately ,

there is someone who has been unusually quiet on this issue the last few days .
