Smile We love it.... and I run PlanePlotter with a microsADSB as a ground station.

I joined this forum when we moved here and when they were doing a story on the Salvation Army out of hours dumping, (their main depot is across the road), an A380 flew over the house which astounded the journalists and prompted them to do a story on living in the noisiest house in Sydney. The runway threshold lights are 200m from us. The A380s and 747s are about 100 feet high on their lowest approach... the runway approach line is about 30m from the back fence. Depending on the wind, sometimes they fly within 150 feet of the house. It is certainly entertaining on a windy day or whenever a "heavy" makes a "go-around". Usually results in a new hairdo.

oh... and the wake turbulence is spectacular when it hits the surrounding vegetation/trees. Sounds incredible and can be felt when it hits the building.

Hi Cam,

Welcome and glad to have you on the forum. Great little article too.

I think many of us can say we enjoy spotting from your street also. It really is a great location.
Here's hoping your calls for local train noise to decrease doesn't fall on deaf ears, lol. Good luck with that one.

P.S: What's the PP sharer's code you offer?
