Default JQ 38 DPS-SYD Cancelation

Just wondering if anyone has any insight as to why tonights JQ38 DPS-SYD flight (30/7/11) has been cancelled already ? .. It seems strange that the only direct flight on that route for JQ has been canned, especially on a Saturday night flight which gets passengers back in time for the working week... Then again it is JQ i suppose

Any info would be helpful :-)

Cheers Guys

JQ37 SYD-DPS is also cancelled.

I don't know why, but it does make sense that you won't have a JQ38 without a JQ37 going over first.

Maybe crew is out of hours after the delay due to the power failure at Sydney International.........

Ah i didnt note that JQ37 was also canned for the day, makes sense. My sister was meant to on 38, but is now heading to home via Melbourne .

Cheers lee, wouldn't be surprised if that has something to do with it, a similar incident occurred when i flew to NZCH last month and we had to divert into NZWN. Which resulted in the crew exceeding there maximum hours and us having to stay for a night / day in Wellington.

Appreciate the feedback guys, and i know this stuff happens to from time to time with all airlines, just to clarify i wasn't having a JQ bash haha
