Default Tasair King Island landing - gear problems

Tasmania MP Bryan Green in plane drama

source Herald Sun:

A GOVERNMENT minister, staffers and journalists have survived a dramatic emergency plane landing on Tasmania's King Island this morning.

The wheels on a twin-engine Tasair Chieftain flying from Devonport failed to open and the light plane skidded to a halt on the runway in terrible weather conditions.

Onboard were Primary Industry minister Bryan Green, Mercury photographer Chris Kidd, Advocate reporter Sonia Burn and four other passengwers.

All on board appear to have escaped serious injury.

Kind regards,

Geoff
