How one Ruins Something For All (CH9)

Yet another example of how one person can ruin thing for many. While attending our monthly union meeting a couple of days ago we were
informed that a passenger/passengers recently recorded the CH 9 audio from the cockpit on one of our flights and put it on U Tube etc. They then made the comment (and wrote to the company) describing how our crews missed two calls from ATC...the company has of course had to respond etc so now we have been advised that we may want to think twice before maike Ch 9 available. While its always been discretionary you will now find that it's pretty much going to be less and less available once this gets out to a wider dissemination. There has not been anything in writing from management regarding the incident but there was some pretty heated comments from many in attendance at the meeting. I will provide updated info if/when it becomes available. Not a very nice or smart thing to do folks
