Errr, I'm confused,

Hi Mick. I think these times are departing for Sydney not arriving times. VS200 in HK boards at about 8:30pm HK time or there abouts. And the rest are times they began taxi at SIN and BKK at took off. If that helps explain it.

My guess is that Gerald was posting the taxy/take off time and pushback in London local time instead of when they actually arrive here in Sydney Australian time. You will need to look at the Sydney Airport site for the corresponding arrivals of these flights which indeed arrive early our time.
Hope this helps. |

Right, thanks Matt, that makes sense.
Tim, I think you need to re-look into what you said, because they sure are either damn slow flight times from BKK and Singapore, or Gerard is posting in the future, ![]() Mick |

Flights departing from London to Sydney dont leave it 9:30 at night though otherwise they would arrive into their asian too early(mid afternoon) as they depart from asia just before midnight.
E.g, i did BA25 LHR-HKG and we departed late at night and arrived at about 2pm. Therefore BA9 has to leave LHR in the morning for BKK in order to arrive there late afternoon to depart to Sydney late evening for its early morning arrival here. Thes times "taxiing and departure" are at 9pm-10pm so it would have to be in Asian times, wouldnt it? |

I'm reasonably sure that those time Gerald has posted are departure LHR local times (as attested by the T3 or T4 next to them) and are departures from LHR on 20Mar.
I know QF2 is out of BKK around 1830HR and most of the transit SIN flights depart around 1930-2100 ex SIN for Australia to arrive just after curfew in SYD. |

Girls,
Do a bit of researching say, oh I don't know, maybe HERE for example. Pop in SYD as the destination airport and a magical page appears offering departure times for all flights operating to SYD ex-LHR ![]() P.S Those times posted by Gerald are ex-LHR |

BA009 departs London at 22:00 local, arrives Bnagkok at 15:20 local (following day)with a total flight time of 11 hours and 20 minutes.
London-Bangkok time difference is 7 hours. So the times are London times |
