Default Emirates A380 Onboard Wifi

G'day All,
Just wondering if anyone can tell me if Emirates provide access to wifi on the A380 flights between Sydney and Dubai? And if they do, any idea to the current cost?

Cheers

Mick

Mick, I don't know about Emirates, but Singapore are progressively installing WiFi on their A345, A380 and 777-300ER fleet.

I came back to Sydney this morning on A380 9V-SKI which is not fitted yet, but the on-board info says that the cost is USD29.95 for 26Mb. You wont get much for that of course.

I would assume that Emirates will follow a similar path, likewise Qantas did and ditched it for lack of interest.

These services are of course provided by a third party, just like those expensive phone calls and SMS that you can send via the IFE now.
