Default Qantas To Go Daily MEL-LHR, 6x MEL-LAX, Daily SYD-JNB

Little surprise, I suppose. Does anyone know the approximate times of the A380 deliveries?

Quote:
ADELAIDE, 31 May 2010: Qantas today announced that it would introduce daily A380 services between Melbourne and London and six A380 services per week between Melbourne and Los Angeles.

At present, two return services between Melbourne and London via Singapore each week are operated by the Qantas A380. This will increase to five services a week after Qantas’ eighth A380 is delivered, six services a week after its ninth is delivered and daily services when its tenth A380 arrives. Melbourne-Los Angeles services operated by the A380 will increase to four a week with the delivery of Qantas’ ninth A380 and to six a week after its tenth is delivered.
And beef up the competition with V?
Quote:
ADELAIDE, 31 May 2010: Qantas today announced it would move to a daily schedule on its Sydney – Johannesburg route from 21 September 2010.

Qantas Chief Executive Officer, Mr Alan Joyce, said the Qantas South African route was a key route for the airline and the addition of a seventh service provides Qantas customers with greater flexibility for travel between Australia and South Africa.

Not really. They were given permission by the Air Services Commission back in Feb to go daily. They were just waiting for the A380's 7 and on to arrive to free up a 747 to operate that extra service.

Hi All,

What about starting a 744 to ops MEL to JNB, say 3x week?
Or Even Jetstar A332 to JNB via PER?

Stuart

Not likely given V Australia has started this route now.

If anything from Melbourne starts from QF it will be back to PVG.
