Brisbane,
25 October 2024 BNE flight set to be one of the most tracked in the world _J0A0099_b_WEB-3000x1615-313cb59 Brisbane Flight Set to Be One of the Most Tracked in the World Global flight tracking service Flightradar24 is predicting that the inaugural American Airlines Dallas-Fort Worth to Brisbane service on Monday will be one of the most tracked flights in the world. Flight AA7 will mark the longest flight by distance in the American Airlines global network and the longest flight on the Brisbane Airport destination map. To meet worldwide interest, Brisbane Airport will stream the landing of the Boeing 787-9 live, giving viewers a front-row window seat. “We expect this to be one of the most tracked flights on Flightradar24, with people around the world tuning in to follow the aircraft’s progress from Dallas-Fort Worth to Brisbane, especially keen to watch the livestream of the landing,” according to Ian Petchenik, Director of Communications, Flightradar24. “With considerable international route growth this year, Brisbane’s popularity amongst aviation enthusiasts has climbed as well.” Brisbane’s diverse range of aircraft has become a global favourite, with audiences tuning in weekly to watch live video of aircraft taking off and landing. Queensland aviation YouTube streamers Julia Flights and Only Planes Network, attract fans to their weekly shows. “Brisbane Airport is unique in that one moment viewers can see an A380, and the next, a Royal Flying Doctor King Air. We also know the Alliance Airlines Fokker fleet, now the largest remaining in the world, is incredibly popular with audiences,” according to Brisbane Airport’s Media and Communications Manager, Peter Doherty. “As Australia’s most connected domestic airport, there are plenty of unique aircraft that service regional and rural communities visible on the airfield.” For the upcoming launch of American Airlines, Brisbane Airport will place cameras beside the runway and taxiways, delivering viewers a front row seat. “Airport livestreaming is now popular globally, but what viewers will see from Brisbane Airport for the inaugural arrival of American Airlines will be unique. We have a surprise planned which if we can pull it off technically, will set this show apart in the airport livestreaming world.” To mark the arrival of American Airlines, Brisbane Airport is also escorting 20 competition winners to a special location to view the airfield. More than 400 people entered the competition to see the aircraft arrive from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. Meanwhile guests getting off flight AA7 in the International Terminal, will be treated to a taste sensation baked by local viral sensation, Brooki Bakehouse. The special broadcast will appear on Brisbane Airport’s YouTube channel. The livestream will be hosted by Brisbane Airport’s Media Manager Peter Doherty, a live television veteran of 30 years, along with Sammy Cheney, Series Producer of the travel program The Great Outdoors, who recently travelled to Texas to feature the destination. The broadcast will begin 45 minutes before the aircraft's scheduled landing time.
