CX 747-8F 'Hong Kong Trader' due in SYD Sunday
I searched, but couldn't find any other reference to this movement...
The first-ever 747-8F aircraft is planned to arrive SYD on Sunday afternoon as CX021. STA is 17:05. At the moment, the aircraft is planned to be the 'Hong Kong Trader' livery. Happy spotting people! Next one is planned for Tuesday. R |

Looking at the Schedules Oliver it should continue down to Melbourne. ETA should be 1415LT.

Arrived at 1651 Rwy 16R. Parked on Bay 5.
Now for the 40-odd photos...

Boy she looked stunning!
Very quiet too, idle reverse thrust I believe? I also heard on the scanner that they couldn't take the rapid exit on 16R, does anyone know why?

Thanks |

1920 departure.
Perhaps they were carrying too much speed to commit to the rapid exit? Alfa-4 is certainly suitable for Code F aircraft.

They did say it on final well before touchdown, but I suppose that could be the case. Perfectly normal touchdown, and yet they used idle reverse thrust, I think with a bit of reversers they could have made the Alpha 4 quite easily. But hey I'm not a pilot to judge! Just curious.
