Qantas flight "Horror"
What on earth is the Today show on about? 10 seconds of wake turbulence is "horror" on a plane? Whoever writes the news headlines should be replaced. They can't do a single newscast without using the word "chaos" to describe traffic in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. It's getting to be like the boy that cried wolf with that show.
Sorry, just sick of it. Switching to Sunrise which is probably not any better. |

It is all about $$$$$. Spice it up as much as possible.
And they do it with everything they report on which is why I do not watch the news. |

Ch7 has an advertising deal with QF.
Remember all the behind the scene reporting on the first QF 789 on Sunrise ... |

Apparently it was reported in a US paper that 100 people all held hands and prayed?

Wow , that would have been a sight . 100 people , that’s 10 rows of pax all holding hands together and praying . The logistics of it all take some believing , and this all happened during the 10 seconds of the “horror fall “. There probably a category in the Guinness Book of records for simultaneous praying on an aeroplane , they should apply for an entry . I’m sure the divine intervention would have worked wonders .

I remember some years ago one of the YSSY board members made a website on sensational media reporting.
Something along the lines of; We were all in fear of dying, we all experienced 2 seconds of turbulence and the pilot said nothing. The seatbelt sign came on for 40 minutes of the flight and there was no communication from the pilot on command. No doubt a second officer in command while the Captain and the F/O were servicing 2 flight attendants. On landing the media scrum were waiting for someone to tell us about the horrific flight that occurred. |
