Default Jetstar vs Tiger SYD/MEL

Given that Jetstar have announced the transfer of a number of flights from Avalon to Tullamarine to operate MEL/SYD no doubt due to the increase in flights also announced by Tiger on the same route, does this spell the end of the Avalon experiment?

The same thing happened when Tiger started ADL/MEL, and Jetstar moved the ADL flights to Tullamarine.
