Flybe to be rebranded
It appears that Flybe is being bought by a consortium including Stobbart and Virgin Atlantic, and will continue but under the Virgin Atlantic name. The latter is not always positive in the UK with many boycotting Branson’s businesses as he tries to frustrate the UK becoming independent of the EU.

Given its origin, Virgin European would have been a great name.

VS isn’t really a Branson product any more. ‘Virgin Atlantic’ is really not much more than a code name for ‘Delta UK’ these days - sure there are touches of the old VS but only to set it apart from BA and others.
Dave’s right though, a lot of people will probably lose their jobs and, just as importantly, the only air services in their town. My thoughts are with them, and I certainly hope the cuts aren’t as drastic as some people expect. |

A possible decision will be made as to the future viability of the airline following a shareholder meeting on March 4th . The uncertainty of the future must weigh heavy on the shoulders of the employees .
