Australian F1 Grand Prix Fly-Over
Looks like Qantas are sending a B744 down to the Grand Prix for a flyover (no spare 380s I guess?)
QF6620 SYD 1510 SYD 1805 Interesting that is coming down from Sydney, overflying and returning straight back. No idea of a rego but VH-OEB in the new livery and One World logo would have to be a good chance. Cheers |

Slightly off topic do any Melbourne spotters know if Kingfisher A320 has turned up for the grand prix?

OEB is slotted in to do the flying, guess there is no surprise in that one with all those people watching at the track and on tele.
Also yes all A380s will be away from the nest... |

Sadly the TV always does a poor job of covering it. Being there at the track is much more impressive.

I saw ANZ do this with one of their 747's in Wellington (something to do with Lord of the Rings I think) by chance when I was over a few years ago. It was almost overwhelming and I've had a extra soft spot for the 747 ever since. |

It looked great but was still quite high. I suppose it was as low as legally permitted. |

As Sarah commented earlier, the camera work was shocking ... they zoomed up on the nose most of time, not sure what they were trying to see (the pilot's face?) and definitly to high
Nice shots Chris!! |
