Batik Malaysia ex Malindo rebrand will restart BNE flights from 19 June 4 times a week with MAX8 Aircraft.

Batik Air Malaysia (rebranded from Malindo Air since 28APR22) has filed changes to its planned Boeing 737 MAX 8 service resumption. The airline now schedules 737 MAX 8 operation on following routes from June 2022, instead of mid-May to Dhaka and Jakarta.

From 18JUN22, the 737 MAX 8 will be operating Kuala Lumpur – Denpasar – Brisbane route 3 times weekly, increasing to 4 from 26JUN22.

OD157 KUL1805 – 2110DPS2200 – 0550+1BNE 7M8 x135
OD158 BNE0715 – 1145DPS1245 – 1545KUL 7M8 x246

Yesterday BNE had it's first ever Etihad Cargo aircraft.
772F...A6-DDC did this flight.

Also Air Kirabati did 2 test flights

Thanks Lloyd - I noticed Air Kirabati heading north from Bansktown the other day and meant to ask what the story was.

Kent it is now parked on taxiway Papa at BNE which is down near Logistics at the southern end of the airport.

The F-Reg Amelia ATR that passed through Brisbane was headed for Tahiti.

Air Tahiti has wet leased an additional ATR 72-600, to meet growing tourism traffic this year, and disclosed it plans to buy an ATR 72-600.

EK430 arrival yesterday was interesting, needed to be towed to the gate and is now grounded after a gear issue and a hole
