Would i be able to...
Take my hand held scanner on board with me to listen to Air Traffic communications (with headphones of course)?
Would it be considered electrical equipment that has to be turned off before take off? Just wondering |

Hey George,
Unfortunately no as it's considered a transmitting device and would need to be switched off at all stages of the flight... (Unless there's flight mode capability but that would defeat the whole purpose of a scanner). I see you have an EK flight on Saturday, how about hooking up with their inflight wifi and using LiveATC? http://www.virginaustralia.com/au/en...f-electronics/ http://www.qantas.com.au/travel/airl...ions/global/en Happy Flying.
