Post ZK-PBF runway excursion 14/7/07

The ATSB has released its final report into the low speed RTO on 14 July 2007 of ZK-PBF (a B738): http://www.atsb.gov.au/publications/.../AO2007023.pdf

In essence, the PIC hit the TOGA switch before the a/c had been lined up on 16R and before the engines had achieved stabilised and symmetrical thrust settings. As a result the a/c ended up on runway 07 on a heading of 184 degrees following a partial excursion across the grass near the intersection of 16R and 07, and a nosewheel full skid.

Induction and recurrent training has been modified as a result of this incident.
