I was in the Qantas Terminal at the time i saw it, and was trying to confirm the rego of it so got a rear end photo of it zoomed in so i could see the rego. however as for a full photo it was hard for me to grab as the tails of 2 737s were in the way

I don't know why Jetstar have not thought of this one before is to run the A321 from ADL-DPS. Its a market they have over looked. Back in the 80's Qantas flew their own metal from ADL to DPS but now nothing they left all the market to Pacific Blue.

What are the new services then, and from when? The three I mentioned in this thread give 21 return services per week, but that is just one aircraft out of the four. The other three must operate the remaining 56 return services per week, or 8 daily flights.

There are a few curious ones too. NTL-OOL getting a second daily within an hour of their current one, when the load factors languished in the 60s and 70s this year seems like overkill. The lunchtime flights are hardly likely to be pulling in massive yields either. Maybe they are just changing the time of the existing flight and haven't taken the old one out? Surely OOL-HBA would be more viable than a second OOL-NTL? Also, wouldn't it have been easier to make the daily MEL-TSV depart at the same time every day, rather than the patchy schedule they have come up with? SYD-TSV mustn't be doing to well if their 5 weekly can't even get an upgrade to daily but MEL-TSV can go from 3 per week to daily! ADL-CNS going to 6 per week? Why not just do daily for convenience, especially since Friday (busiest day of the week) is the day that misses out? Then again, the schedules are still showing at least 7 daily AVV-SYD for the same period, so there is still some updating to do. Maybe it will turn out all right in the end. |
