Niger Presidential Visit To Sydney
His Excellency Mr President Issoufou Mahamadou, President of the Republic of Niger, flew into Sydney this afternoon, after visiting Perth and Canberra. This is the first visit to Australia by a President of the Republic of Niger.
The Niger Government Boeing B737-75U BBJ (28976) 1998 build, is in immaculate condition for a 19 year old aircraft. 5U-GRN touched down on Runway 34L and taxied via GOLF to DOM 6 Bay 99. As soon as the official party had left the aircraft under police escort, hold baggage was removed, a refueling tanker pulled up in front of the starboard wing, and a Catering vehicle at the starboard front cabin door. The crew put engine covers in place, along with Pitot cover ribbons etc. Tug Red Lima then towed the aircraft to the Kilo Apron. Ground handling by Hawker Pacific. A complete set of images can be found on Australian Aircraft Photographers Facebook

His Excellency Mr President Issoufou Mahamadou, President of the Republic of Niger, departed Sydney Airport this morning on B737-75U BBJ 5U-GRN, at the end of his visit to Australia (Perth, Canberra and Sydney). The President had a photograph taken with the NSW Police motorcyclists, then boarded the aircraft for Jakarta. Departure was full length on Runway 16R.
The mid-morning departure provided good light, in comparison to Friday's late afternoon arrival with back-lighting.
