I was fortunate to attend the Qantas Dreamliner Family Day on Sunday, one of a number of similar events in the capital cities to allow Qantas Staff to view the aircraft.

If you would like a bit more of a Technical Inspection of the new Qantas B789 Dreamliner, then here is a sample of the images you will find at http://www.16right.com/news/ (plus commentary).

Thanks Grahame,

Appreciate the coverage for those living interstate or who cannot be at Sydney Airport for such events.

Your photos are always appreciated.

ZNA First Australian Takeoff

After arriving last Friday from Seattle via Honolulu, and spending its time in the hangar or at the QF Domestic Gates for training, the first Qantas B789 Dreamliner VH-ZNA made its first takeoff from Australian soil this evening - and didn't it look amazing.

Your turn Melbourne

My word that's impressive aeronautical engineering. And she's so clean! Great shots Grahame, thanks for posting them.

Andrew. 😎

Interesting vlog here and around the 4:30 mark shows it taxying - slowly past Shep's Mound on what was a wet morning.

Sadly, I didn't get chance to view it myself, but managed to get some viewing in at the new Shep's Mound a little later on.

Nice to meet you Grahame too btw and keep up the good work!
