Moscow New York Aeroflot flight delayed as Drunk pilot sparks crew change

Not suprising to me- a number of these incidents have occured at LHR, MAN etc mainly with Aeroflot. I think some drug/alcohol testing is in the order for them as the occurence rate is quite high. Also another note- i read the pilots and fa's in the Perm crash forged their documents that they were valid crew/could fly the 737. |

Just another to add to the list of reasons not to fly Aeroflot

aeroflop
Their reputation is not good.
A mate of dad's had to go to England at short notice in the mid 1990s and he could only get a ticket on aeroflot. Once he got on the plane, someone was sat in his assigned seat so the f/a told him to find another seat, and the meal was a bowl of boiled chicken pieces the passengers shared out amongst themselves. Stories like that will ensure I will stay away from Aeroflop (I mean Aeroflot!). |

seems the pilot may not have been drunk at all. |

What about the good old Tupolev's with the torn seats and internal panels falling off.
Is it true alot of their pilots are ex-military? |
