Fourth QF A380 Delayed Until Mid July
The fourth A380 for Qantas (MSN026) has been delayed from May to mid July. Qantas stated that there would now only be three 380 deliverys this year for them as well. Being MSN026, MSN027 and MSN029. MSN047 is the one that will be delayed until early Q1 2010.

Had been rumours that the 4th A380 would be delayed!
Also MSN047 was pretty certain for early 2010 from memory |

No MSN047 has always been scheduled for at least over 1 and a half now. It is most likely to come out of the FAL within three weeks. My last source stated enignes had arrived in Toulouse mid April.

I saw MSNs 027 and 029 whilst in Hamburg last week. 027 was having its interior fitted but had not been painted, whilst 029 was in the paint hangar being buffed and polished. No sign of 026, the first 'Wave 2' aircraft, anywhere.

Is the delay as a result of the company delaying its production or Qantas delaying it due to financial or other reasons?

Airbus delay as this is the first Wave 2 aircraft it must have some extra work needed.

Howdy all
A/c running another week or so behind schedule. The following flights have been 'downgraded' from A380 ops to B744 ops QF31/23JUL SYD-SIN-LHR QF32/24JUL LHR-SIN-SYD QF11/26JUL SYD-LAX QF12/26JUL LAX-SYD QF11/28JUL SYD-LAX QF12/28JUL LAX-SYD QF31/30JUL SYD-SIN-LHR QF32/31JUL LHR-SIN-SYD QF11/02AUG SYD-LAX QF12/02AUG LAX-SYD QF11/04AUG SYD-LAX QF12/04AUG LAX-SYD Of interest, for the UK spotters is that the QF31/32 flights on 30-31JUL are ops by a 2 class B744. The B744 ops have been funded from the QF127/128 flights which will now be ops by A330 a/c. Regards Luke/PER
