Variety Bash Helicopter Photos

Here are a couple of photos (courtesy of my mate, Stephen Ranger) from the Variety Bash in the Central West of Parkes. Basically its a car rally raising money for the Variety charity. The rally had some well known celebrities on board which included John Paul Young, John Williamson & a couple of other actors.
The photos are of a Bell UH-1B VH-NVV (manufactured in 1963) & a Bell 206 VH-KGW. The two helicopters landed at a local primary school where the stopover for the rally was held.They landed on the school oval & were on display to the public before departing a little while later.
Note the V Australia sticker on the UH-1B's nose cone. The UH-1B is based down in Nowra & is registered to RAN FLEET AIR ARM HISTORIC FLIGHT. The Bell 206 however is registered to Heli-Aust.
