Qf 19 - 6/9/10
Had a friend on the flight Sydney-Manila, reached around the level on Cairns when they experienced a problem and returned to Sydney. Latest news is that they will be leaving tonight on a different plane. Anyone know what happened?

Channel 10 had some "breaking news" that possibly covered this. They said that the pilots of a QF flight (B763) returned to Sydney 3hrs into the flight when a warning light showed an anti skid brake issue and due to wet weather expected upon landing they returned to sunny Sydney.
They can't turn a trick lately. Darren |

Channel 10 news reported the pilots had an indication that the anti skid brakes werent working and that there were storms predicted for Manila. They were returning as a precaution.
More than happy to be corrected Beat me to it Darren Last edited by Jayden Laing; 6th September 2010 at 05:40 PM. Reason: MODS, Darren has already posted a reason, Please delete this reply THANKS |

Breaking News - gee, don't you love the drama!
VH-OGR was the affected aircraft - VH-OGU was the replacement.
