I was in CBR yesterday morning and heard the 1100 news, the plane DID crash (according to the news)
Total c.,p as far as I am concerned, I believe the guy did a great job. Whilst I think he had a little luck on his side, he did well. Kind regards, Geoff |

Not only did he walk away from it... he ran!
(And even directed road traffic to avoid the aircraft) Good on him! Guess he'll have a few stories to share at the pub |

He crashed with 2 km or so of playing fields (several) the Hobart Domain & a river, so what height as as a 'trainee pilot' was he doing aeros over a built up area?
Last I remember minimum alt for any aeros without special endorsements is 3000 feet? So not so great a job I suspect... but wrecked a nice aeroplane, if it's the one I think it is. Just because The Mercury laud him doesn't make him an angel, but I'll wait for the official decree.
