Default Close encounter with an Emu

Landing on a dirt strip in Queensland, January 1, 2011. How do you explain to the boss that you had a bird strike with a flightless bird?

Whilst I haven't had any close encounters with emu's that I can think of, I've had plenty of close encounters with kangaroo's, dingo's, a camel, horses, cow's.

A few of our aircraft have unfortunately suffered damage from animal strikes, ranging from propellors being destroyed, to panels going up nearly into fuel tanks and as extreme as having to take the aircraft out on the back of a truck and requiring over 12 months work to get it back in the air.
