Default Work Experience At Sydney Airport?

Hello!

I am a year 10 student looking for work experience. I am really interested in jobs around the airport, particularly in ATC. I did contact some airlines but they said they had no positions, what airlines did accept work experience students? Also if anyone did work with an airline for work experience, please let me know what you did at the airline. (Work experience starts in March)

I have heard that it is not possible to get work experience in the control tower, but if anyone has info on that, it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Thank you for all of your posts!
Just got told by Air Services Australia that they don't take work experience students due to safety requirements. Oh well.
Still looking around for work experience, anyone got any ideas? (Work in the field of aviation? )

I did work experience with Cathay Pacific back in 2002. I spent 3 days at their Sydney office and 2 days at the airport. I'm not sure if they take work experience students anymore, but if you are interested, PM me and I can give you some details.

Have you considered GA (General Aviation) as well, at airports like Bankstown or Camden. Although abit smaller scale than the big airport, there are also many good experiences and opportunities to be had as well.
