I will be at the airport to see the landing and take-off of this, while it's sad to say goodbye to the end of an era by this beautiful plane the interior is just too old to enjoy!

+ next year FJ retires their SQ owned 744-400's.

What will become of them ? Hajj flights ?

Read someone that you can pack something like 600 seats on a 744, minimum seat pitch, 1 class, probably without some of the galleys.

Hi all

Has anyone booked the last flight in April? I made my booking last night up and back from Singapore to Hong Kong. It seemed pretty full throughout the flights.

SIA has created a 747 commemorative website http://www.siajourneys.com/

The best I can do is spot her departing Singapore for the last time and hoping for a water canon salute.

Going to be there when it takes off for the last time from Australia.

On another note, what are good spotting locations at MEL and are there any recommendations on what to have.
