My daughter is on this flight to LA today. Seems it was cancelled at the gate in Melbourne after passengers had boarded. Anyone know what happened?

The flight from SYD is still showing as delayed 2 hours. The flight onto SFO is showing as cancelled.

N104UA is enroute to Sydney as UAL9911 from Melbourne, due in at 17:10. The aircraft will then depart at 18:40 to San Francisco also as UAL9911.

N118UA is operating UAL840 and departed Sydney a short time ago.

Not sure of reasoning for this though.

Departing now after 6:30pm - you wonder how close it is for the crew hours? They would have to be close to going out of hours if there is another delay from SYD.

It's about to park on Bay 53 and will be going back to the US as a ferry flight only.
