A Chilean Air Force B763 visits Canberra
Hi all, since my posting to Canberra and working within the old RAAF Fairbairn precinct, I have noticed many interesting aircraft types visiting. So it's only recently that I started packing my camera in the car to allow me to capture such visitors. Well today I was surprised to see a Chilean Air Force B767-300ER, it's their only one I believe (Registration 985). Interestingly, this airframe has flown in Aeroflot, TWA, Air India and United Airlines colours to name a few. Here's some pics I took from my car park at work at both the start and the end of my work-day.

Hi Ray and all, this was a nice surprise on the way home from work tonight. Glad I listened to that little voice in my head that told me to throw the camera gear in the back of the car this morning. A setting sun made for a somewhat 'artistic' shot none the less!

That's the aircraft's previous operator. Other previous operators have been Aeroflot, TWA, Air India and American Airlines to name a few. The aircraft in question commenced service with the Chilean Air Force in 2008.

Managed a few shots in SYD after it arrived and going through my 2008 trip logs I actually logged CS-TLQ Euro Atlantic in Madrid April 2008 and according to a few sources it went to the Chilean AF not long after (around Aug/Sep that year).
