Hi Kain

QF67xx is usually a Dash 8 of some description, but often a Q400 and generally a positioning flight. In this case given the timings and routings, and because it's planned quite a few days in advance I'd say perhaps it's a charter using a Q400? Unfortunately BNE website isn't going to Tuesday as yet so can't see the predicted arrival time.

The night-stopping MEL-HBA-MEL does switch to Q400 from Monday night too, though that's unrelated.

Cheers
Rowan

I believe the MEL-HBA is another famil, Q400 starts an early morning flight HBA-MEL and an evening MEL-HBA from start of NOV.

Thumbs up

Hi all,

Not sure if I should post up a new thread, but I might just continue my query here since the question is similar.

On Wednesday, a QF A333 VH-QPE flight number QFA6003 filed a one hour flight. Any idea why? Was it a test flight?

Would like to share the description of the flight on the photo caption, that's all.

Cheers,
HB

G'day Hendra

According to theqantassource.com QPE operated a test flight SYD-SYD as QF6003 on 24/10 having been out of service in SYD since 22/10.

Cheers
Rowan

Thanks all. Is it common to operate a spare in convoy for an inaugural service? Probably the first and last Q400 on HBA-BNE!

It's only going BNE-MEL-BNE as a spare.

VH-LQF still scheduled to go to HBA tonight.
