Hi,

Any chance that BA could return to Melb, now that QF has ceased Melb-LHR via SIN??

G-STBF is operating the inaugural BA15 on a 777-300ER.

As for BA returning to Melbourne, I doubt it. Aviation world has changed that much that a LOT of airlines would rather feed into Australia from an Asian carrier. That's why BA have sort of gotten into bed with Cathay Pacific via HKG.

For BA to return to Melbourne, it requires a lot of aircraft which I think BA don't have at the moment.

my 2c worth.

Alex.

No chance Stuart. As Alex said the world has changed so much and it isn't really worth it.

That is why there are just 3 airlines that operate from Australia to Europe end to end (so discount hub from Asia). So be grateful there is one flight a day on BA, two on Qantas and of course lets not forget one a day on VS too.
