Oooh, tempting (Not Really)
Would not like to be in the last five rows for a five hour flight, espeically for tall people like myself, 6 foot 2 to be exact. Does the A320 have the range for five hours, might have to run a bit underweight????? Just my thoughts Jacob

Air NZ is already doing it Jacob, but that doesn't mean there's no load restriction. Shouldn't be too much though I wouldn't think.
I, too, would have no hesitation in NOT choosing this flight... in fact, if I lived in Adelaide, I'd be more tempted to fly ADL-PER-AKL! Like you said, just my thoughts :P |

Why wouldn't anyone like to fly JQ on a flight the distance of ADL-AKL? I have flown comparable flights distance and time wise on JQ for DRW-SGN and SIN-DRW and no issues. Even TR for PER-SIN wasn't too bad. And it's not that much different to ADL-DRW or ADL-CNS anyway.
More choice is great for everyone, especially ADL with limited non-stop international options compared to Australia's other major cities. And it's also a new international airline for ADL with the JQ service to AKL also.

So its a NZ based A320 launching the route then. JQ may be reducing domestic NZ flights to allow this route to begin. I wonder if ADL-DPS will be next, they could do a PER-DPS-ADL-DPS-PER routing to get it there.

Jetstar has taken, and continues to receive, new A320's this year. It is likely this additonal capacity is being funded by new hulls.

As the flights start and end in AKL, it won't be a new aircraft doing it just using one of the existing 9 NZ based 320s.
