There seems to have been a lull in reporting of new orders or is it just my imagination ?

They are known as the 'terrible teens' because that's where their Constructor Numbers sit, and they have a number of problems that take a month to fix for each aircraft (overweight being one of the problems that is probably not fixed). I think one of the other issues was the centre to rear fuselage join (a slight misalignment). They probably picked them up at a great price, as they have just been parked for a few years now, with 5 ton concrete blocks hanging from the engine mounts.

Hi Terence, This is a photograph I shot of the "Forward to Center" fuselage join on Dreamliner
ZA001. As you can see, there is a wide vertical band bolted over the actual join, then horizontal doublers over the top of the vertical band. The white areas between the doublers is the actual composite fuselage structure (skin). The two rectangular pieces glued to the fuselage skin at the top left of the vertical band, are for harmonic vibration dampening from memory, and can be seen in a few places on the inside of the composite fuselage.
