JQ7992 - July 9 2015
Noticed that today's 787 ferry flight ex Melbourne was heading towards (what looked to be OOL), however just prior to flying over Orange(NSW), the aircraft VH-VKD made a U-turn,and proceeded south back to Melbourne landing just before 11:30am.
http://www.flightradar24.com/data/fl...q7992/#6bfc300 Was this just a test flight, or was there a change of plans en-route resulting in the aircraft being required back in Melbourne? |

Probably didn't need the aircraft to do to DPS...

Thanks for your replies.
Yes it seems DPS was the reasoning behind the change of plans with the cancellation of Thursday's BNE-DPS flight. The aircraft had 24 hours 'off' in Melbourne before operating a flight to Phuket yesterday afternoon. Cheers |

Be interesting to see if any extra flights run this weekend, I would imagine the end of school holidays would be putting pressure on the backlog.

Hopefully so, as I have family in Bali whom may be rebooked on the earliest next spots - 28th July.
