VH-VYH lost an engine on departure today operating QF520 and returned to SYD

VH-VYH operating QF520 from SYD to BNE has turned back after the right engine failed t during takeoff. It is believed to have caused a grass fire on the eastern side of runway 34R at Sydney.

Qantas will repaint the “Retro Roo II” livery onto another 737, since VXQ will be one of the first retired.

They didn't want Retro-Roo livery to photographed in a breakers yard.

When they retire frames they paint over references to QF.

They just could have painted (cheaply) over it before heading to the bone yard.

Qantas has a history of painting aircraft and then selling/scrapping them a short time later.
