Not really

Usually the othe freighters bring concert equipment or something else, so it would be interesting if there was something else other than the normal cargo.

For the record it brought some helicopters to KTA then to SYD pick up a load of mining eq then to MEL for crew rest then PER tech stop then on to CGK and eventuality Maurtania.

Nothing's wrong with the aircraft. Melbourne is doing runway works which commence at 2400. Put simply, the Antonov wasn't going to make it down there on time. It can only travel at 550km/h with a full load.

Expect an early departure. The crew haven't worked out the time just yet, but they're keen to get there.

EDIT: Just been advised, 0630 ETD.

I was hoping you'd appreciate it being closer to the obs deck on Intl-1...there was a chance it was going to push back onto Twy Alfa.

For all the orange floodlighting, how do you manage to get the aircraft looking 'natural' in its colour?

Departed at approx 0645 this morning. The sun tried to poke through the clouds but the ISO was pumped up to get the photos. Will try to post later.

Cheers

I assume that is some form of sodium-vapor lighting there? Try setting the custom white balance in your camera to around 2700K , otherwise shoot raw like Chris suggested.
